My story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Ethan would be 11 this year and heading off to secondary school. I have decided to run the stafford half marathon to raise funds and awareness for the charity that has provided ongoing, long term bereavement support to us.
The Bereaved Parent support is part of the Care for the Family charity which looks to support all aspects of family life. The network run a telephone befriending scheme as well as events through the year for bereaved parents to share their stories and gain support.
There are 17000 newly bereaved parents every year in the uk and the bereaved parents network would love to reach out to more of these families.
We became befrienders a year ago, hoping to comfort others through the comfort we received.

We help thousands of couples, parents and families across the UK to build strong relationships through events, networks, resources and family-building breaks. Special initiatives include the Bereaved Parents' Network, and support for single parent families.
