Story
Thanks for taking the time to look at my Justgiving page.
This year I will be cycling from Coast-to-Coast on the 5th August in aid of this year’s squadron charity, the Jon Egging Trust.
Jon Egging was a red arrows pilot who tragically lost his life in an accident whilst performing with the world famous red arrows, in August 2011. Flt Lt Egging was passionate about inspiring young people through a love of flying and enthusiasm for teamwork. The Jon Egging Trust was set up by his wife, Dr Emma Egging, to realise his dream. The Trust has developed an exciting and unique youth engagement programme – Blue Skies – which provides new opportunities to help disadvantaged young people achieve their full potential.
ULAS has set the ambitious target of raising £10,000 sponsorship for the Trust this year. In order to do the squadron are participating in numerous challenging events across summer. These include:
Coast to Coast Cycle Ride
The Pathfinder 46 mile March/run
The 3 Peaks
The Nijmegen March
24 Hour Gangnam Style
Atlantic Row
In addition, students have donated a portion of their bar takings, baked cakes, organised a 'Tutor Grounding Sweepstake', and will be holding street collection in the London borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
In recognition of the squadron's efforts, please donate what you can to this fantastic cause.
