<p>Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.We are passionate about changing lives for the better for those living in extreme poverty in Kenya. Most of you will know about our work but for those who don't...</p>
<p><br>We work mostly in the Nairobi city area,mainly in the Kibera and Mukuru kwa Njenga slums. <br>Our ongoing work throughout the year includes sponsoring orphans, running a feeding programme, supporting two slum schools, paying school fees, supporting widows and children living with HIV/AIDS, supporting a street kids rehabilitation home and much much more.</p>
<p>We also are raising extra funds for this summer as we have two teams of 25 and 22 who have a lot of practical work to do! We're renovating a slum maternity clinic, building a long overdue classroom onto a Kibera school, making a library/study area inside our street boys centre, providing cups, bowls, spoons etc for feeding programme, volunteering in a home for abandoned/orphaned babies, visiting sponsor kids, feeding children living on streets, run a clinic for kids in Kibera slum, etc etc!! They'll be so busy and we'll need funds behind us to make the trip a success. <br>It's a huge thing for me to have trained for the marathon!!! I'm also running the Enniskillen 10K. <br>We would ask that you consider giving us a donation,however small,it'll go a long way and although you'll not meet those you've helped, we know they'll appreciate it beyond words. <br>Just to give you an idea how worthwhile your donation will be: <br><br>if you give us £1, we can feed 10 street kids for a night! <br><br>For £5 we can buy deworming medicine for a classroom of children, <br><br>for £10 we can feed 15 kids at our feeding programme for one month!! <br><br>So please, give whatever you can, it goes to those most in need and we'll have the privilege of seeing the difference your generosity will make! <br><br>Jengana does not set out to change the world, but to change the world for each life we can touch.</p>
