We promote human values of caring & sharing to create a united human community

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On the 10th of July I will be running the Vitality British 10K London in support of the charity IAHV Peace-building.

As many of you know, I’m a relative stranger to moving fast whilst wearing lycra and I tend to take the view that running is something you in an emergency. However, I feel extremely motivated to run on this occasion to support our neighbour Dr Katrien Herzog who is spearheading the IAHV peace-building project in the Lebanon. The project provides support and therapy to victims of war, especially younger people displaced by the atrocities in Syria.

If you would be so kind as to make a donation to this noble cause and support our neighbour in her work I would be extremely grateful.

IAHV is a non-profit, United Nations-affiliated organisation, established in 1977 by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. Its Mission is to build a sustainable and inclusive Peace by promoting and supporting the development of Human Values in individuals and societies on a Global Scale.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

About the charity

The International Association for Human Values (IAHV) was founded in Geneva in 1997, to foster, on a global scale, deeper understanding of the values that unite us as a human community. Our aim is to promote an awareness of the importance of human values, encourage their development, and to initiate and support projects in the UK and throughout the world that meet the fundamental objectives of the IAHV organisation in Human Values (and which meet our criteria).
