My story

Dear all,

The Mother (as in the one who broke her foot following the incident in Morocco) and I are embarking on the Beachy Head Marathon (i.e. a marathon with HILLS) on Saturday 24th October 2009 and were wondering if you might just be kind enough to sponsor us. On account of The Foot, The Mother is unlikely to get far but she is going to do her best while I (lacking the excuse of a formerly broken foot) am going to endeavour to run the course (with the exception of any steep hills which I will be walking/crawling up). For those of you unfortunate enough to have ever seen me in a sporting situation, you will know that this will not come naturally to me and thus if feel like donating money to ease the very real pain I will be feeling it will be MUCH appreciated.

The real reason we're running is for a very good family friend, Ian Smith (see: www.justgiving.com/Ian-Smith1) and if you'd like to sponsor us or Ian (we're all running for Prostate UK) that would be quite marvellous.
