My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page! The money donated through JustGiving is going directly to BMS World Mission and will count towards the £4350 that I have to raise as a contribution towards the total cost of the programme. 

Next year I will be taking a Christian Gap Year with BMS, and will be living and working in Delhi, India, for 6 months with two other amazing girls (Abi and Hannah)! We will be helping in a local school, engaging in women's empowerment projects and playing sports, while also getting involved in a local church working with youth, helping to lead worship, visiting and praying with people in their own homes. When we arrive home, we will be touring the UK, visiting different schools, churches and other projects to tell them about our time in India! I am very excited about the next year and am also looking forward to fundraising for my trip! 

To cover the costs of the whole year I will have to raise £4350 which will cover flight costs, visas, insurance, accommodation, specialised training and debriefing etc. I will be providing my own personal funds, and be covering the cost of vaccinations myself.

Just to let you know that anyone who is a ‘connected person’ to me sadly can’t Gift Aid their donations. This includes: 

-         a relative (brother, sister, mother, grandfather etc.) 

-         the wife, husband or civil partner of a relative 

-         a company under the control of the donor, or under control of connected persons


Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

However, if you are feeling very generous(!) and would like to give a more significant sum of money (more than say £50) please consider sending it directly to BMS by cheque with a covering note explaining it’s for my Action Team placement. This is to simply save the commission charges from Just Giving, and the money will still end up in the same place. Cheques can be made payable to BMS World Mission and sent to PO BOX 49, 129 Broadway, Didcot, OX11 8XA.
