Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Last year, in a moment of madness, I agreed to do a half-marathon in 2012.
(Yes, I was in a pub; yes, I had had a few beers; no, surprisingly, I didn't change my mind the next day...)
As you may know, you're more likely to find me heading for the pub than the gym, so this is going to be a bit of a challenge.
So I've decided to use this as an opportunity for fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Cancer is a horrible disease; I've lost both my parents to it. This is only 2 weeks into 2012, and already I've been told about two friends from far away who've died from it, which has been a bit of a shock.
But people live with cancer, as well as dying from it. And Macmillan Cancer Support help them and their families get through it. I shall always be grateful for the caring support they gave my mum and me.
So how about donating a few quid to support them?
Thanks,
Rachel
