Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page.

I'm Rachel, and I am running the London Mini Marathon for Priors Court School.

Priors court school is a specialist secondry school for children with autism, dedicated to bringing the highest level of expertise to support and improve the lives of young adults and children.

Autism is an incurable, lifelong neurological disorder which affects as many as 1 in 100 people in the U.K. Varying enormously in severity, all people with autism experience difficulty in communicating and forming relationships. Autistic people can be constantly anxious and confused by the world around them. The condition can make life extremely challenging for them and their families.

Priors court offers these students an education, with the option of all year round boarding, great facilities, grounds and a great variety of play equipment and activities.

Thanks to kind donations from others, My autistic brother has had the opportunity to explore a wide range of activities and opportunity. He's excelled in every challenge, always trying his best and with a beaming smile. With the willingness and co-oporation of the school he is able to have regular piano, guitar and horse riding lesson. Despite having type 1 diabetes, he still manages to do whatever he wants, and doesn't let anything stop him. The school have been great and extremly able to adapt and cater for the needs of his and other childrens medical conditions and allegies.

As good as this is, most children don't have the simple opportunity of accessing musical instruments, computers and modern technology for gaming and entertainment like non autistic children. As such i wish to try and raise enough to buy a range of simple musical instruments and computer games.

I would kindly ask you to donate to this great cause
