The Racy Knickers are zoom....
On 2nd September, three somewhat car-clueless females are setting off from Calais (France) to Split (Croatia) - a journey that will 'supposedly' take us 4 days and cover over 2000 kilometres. Oh, and we're doing all this in a car that we purchased for £0.43 and a case of beer!
We've entered our recently acquired £0.43 car 'Lulu' in the Ramshackle Rally challenge where rally rules state that you must purchase a car for under £150 - and well, we've now got a kitty of £149.57 left to spend on "How to Change a Tyre" crash courses and `pimping' our ride! Sweeeet!
As you can see from the pics, Lulu's pimping is well underway! With a team name called 'Racy Knickers' and 3 female owners (each owning a whopping £0.1433333 share), she's guaranteed to not disappoint and turn a few heads along the way to Croatia!
Dressed 24-7 in our team costumes, the route will take us through countries such as France, Italy, Switzerland, Slovenia and Croatia - not forgetting that we first need to get Lulu to the starting line in Calais (France) from London!
Now, some people might be sceptical about our success of actually making it to the end of this journey and to be honest, we don't blame you. But, the 'Racy Knickers' team consisting of Caz, Sarah and Nic are determined and confident that we'll make it in our quid's worth of scrap metal ....well, we better as we've got family/friends flying from as far as Oz and also London to meet us at the finish line in Split! So we're not going to disappoint !
Obviously this is a personal challenge for all 3 of us and we're not disillusioned and thinking it's going to be easy. But for sufferers with Cystic Fibrosis, life is not easy either. We'd like to donate all monies received on this fundraising page to Cystic Fibrosis Trust to enable them to continue to provide fantastic support to sufferers like our friends Jamie and Jess - and beloved Daniel - and fund further research on this life-threatening illness.
