Currently cancer patients have to travel to Oxford or Bath to receive radiotherapy treatment and with cancer cases set to increase by 16% over the next 10 years we need to bring cancer care to Swindon.
Calvin and Lisa are embarking on a 3 half marathon challenge, running 39.3 miles each. This is roughly the distance a cancer patient would make for one journey to Oxford and back!!!
The 3 Half Marathons are 6th September - Chippenham, 13th September - Bristol and 11th October - Swindon.
With Cancer Research UK now estimating that one in two people will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in our lives, the reality is half of us are going to need this treatment!We are training hard to accomplish our goal by running two to three times a week to ensure we can meet this challenge so please sponsor us to help Brighter Futures meet their fundraising target and help Swindon Win the Fight Against Cancer!
