Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Together, we're 13 second-year students living in A Social at Radley College in Oxfordshire.  We acknowledge our privileged education and recognize that for many children in low-income countries, learning poverty is a real and persistent hardship.  We're passionate about supporting teachers and resources in these affected communities to improve learning outcomes for the children they teach.

We're coming together to collectively run a marathon (26.2 miles) to raise funds for the Commonwealth Education Trust - a UK-based charity with global reach that fights to end learning poverty.  Join us in our crusade to support this deserving cause by donating to our campaign.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

About the charity

The reality is that only 10% of children in low-income countries are able to read by the age of ten. We desperately need to support teachers’ development, which will improve children’s learning. We support teachers to provide children in lower-income countries with a better education.
