Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. Feel free to visit our Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/6boys1bike

As many of you know a close friend of ours at 16 developed a rare cancer. We as a team, as were many others, were all devastated at the news. Over the last few months we have all seen the great work that the Royal Marsden does, as our friend is still fighting his disease so strongly. We therefore came up with the idea to show our respect to our friend, as well as everyone else in his position, by raising awareness and money for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

We are six boys from Eastbourne College and our goal is to travel the equivalent distance of Lands End to John O'Groats, which is from the top of the UK to the bottom, around 605 miles or 970km. There will be six of us and the event will be non stop, day and night, and we hope to complete the distance in under 48 hours. The challenge will be very difficult for us.

We have a target to raise at least ten thousand pounds. We all feel so strongly about this charity as it is so close to us,and hope we can make as big an impact as possible on it.

A huge thank you must go to Tri Store who have given us the equipment we need for this to work.

Any donation will be very much appreicated by everyone involved so thank you very much. If everybody could please spread the word as far as possible as we need as many people knowing about our event to hit our high target of raising £10,000.

About the charity

We raise money solely to support The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre. From funding state-of-the-art equipment and ground-breaking research, to creating the very best patient environments, we will never stop looking for ways to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.
