Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Through my school, I have been given the opportunity to visit Malawi and assist a wonderful organisation called Medic Malawi in their work to better the lives of thousands in this very poor African country.

Medic Malawi is a charity based in Shrewsbury which works in the district of Mtunthama. The charity supports a Hospital, Orphanage, Schools and Feeding centre. It is funded purely by private donations. I am cycling 54 miles from London to Brighton in order to raise awareness and money for this charity.

There are three reasons why I feel very positive about Medic Malawi. They help some of the poorest people on our planet, they spend every penny in Malawi on the project (no overheads) and, perhaps more personally, my late Grandfather was born in Malawi and was very enthusiastic about my expedition. I would like to give something back in his memory.

I'm really excited about this challenge and, if you're able, I would be extremely grateful if you could help me to help them by means of any sponsorship.

Thank you,

Rahul
