On the 16th May 2014, myself and a group of friends from Work will be attempting the National 3 peaks challenge.
For those that don’t know, The Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing the three highest peaks in England (Scafell Pike), Wales (Snowdon) and Scotland (Ben Nevis), within 24 hours.
We will start with a 7 Hour drive (on a good day) from Essex to Glasgow on Friday 16th May where we will stay overnight, then make the 2 ½ Hour drive to Ben Nevis in the morning. The aim is to start the challenge at 12 noon on Sat 17th May.
Once Nevis has been completed, we will drive to Scafell Pike, in the Lake District and aim to start climbing that at 11PM.
We will then drive to Snowdon, Wales, to complete the trio of mountains before 12 noon on Sunday 18th May.
