The Syrian crisis now coming in to its 5th Year with no end in sight, inspired by this, a group of us sat together to contemplate and ask the question; What can we do to make a difference?

We recently heard that SKT Welfare, a UK Registered charity are planning to deliver Ramadan Food Packs to Syrian Refugees living in the border town of Reyhanli. This seemed liked a perfect opportunity for us to take part in and respond to the call of the Syrian people.

This is one of many food aid deliveries SKT Welfare have operated, the last one took place in February 2015. Following the charity organisation closely on Facebook we had an insight of the atrocities people have endured and the destitute state they live in. We witnessed people like you and me, with families and jobs, sacrificing their time, and joining the SKT team at their own expenses with no monetary advantage, to take part in this selfless act. They Spent hours tirelessly packing food packs, and then hand delivering the food packs  to hard to reach homes, homes which do not even have a path leading to them.

We can continue to write lines upon lines about the state of the Syrian people and the work SKT Welfare endeavour to carry out, but our words cannot articulate the catastrophic needs of our fellow siblings.

A food pack costing £35, will provide for a family of 5 for 15 days. You can donate for as many food packs as you like, or even a contribution towards half a food pack, but please do donate something to hear their call.
