I am taking part in the Saltire 6K Fun Run on Sunday 29th November 2009 in aid of St. Andrew's Hospice. The hospice provides specialist palliative care services - the total care of patients with progressive disease and limited prognosis - and is open to all, without distinction of race, gender, or creed. It is Lanarkshire's only hospice and provides multidisciplinary support for patients, their families, and carers.

Over half of the running costs of the hospice is raised through the generosity of donations from the public and help to keep these services running from year to year.
