Right now up to 10 million children across the Caribbean are at risk as Hurricane Maria has devastated homes, schools and hospitals. Hurricane Irma is the strongest Atlantic storm ever recorded, and children and families across the region have faced extreme winds, flooding, landslides and storm surges.
With roads, homes and schools destroyed, essential services have been cut off. Children in the Caribbean urgently need essential supplies like clean water to stop the spread of deadly diseases and prevent loss of lives.
Whenever or wherever disaster strikes, UNICEF responds rapidly to deliver clean water, emergency food and medicine to help keep vulnerable children safe. Right now UNICEF has teams on the ground ready to protect children affected by Hurricane Irma by delivering emergency supplies including water purification tablets, hygiene kits, life-saving food, medicine and tents for families whose homes have been destroyed.
From 17th to 18th November, Warwick UNICEF on Campus will be taking part in a 24 hour sponsored fast to raise money for UNICEF's appeal for Hurricane Maria.
Your gift will go directly to help children and families in the Caribbean affected by Hurricane Maria. By donating today, you can help us save children’s lives. Anything you donate would be extremely helpful and super appreciated
