In August 2018, I will be trekking 100km within the Arctic Circle in Greenland with another 99 HSBC colleagues to fund-raise for Water Aid. The terrain that we will be trekking on is mostly untamed and without much civilisation (if at all), and we will carry our own gear and supplies and camp throughout the journey. I am extremely excited to have the opportunity to participate in this great challenge and contribute to the great cause that Water Aid is doing. Water Aid is and international NGO that works with governments and local organisations to deliver water, sanitation and hygiene to communities that most need it. Currently, 2.4bn people don't have access to adequate sanitation; 663mn people live without clean water; 800 children die every day from disease which is a direct result of lack of safe water. All funds that we raise through this trekking challenge will go directly to Water Aid to help provide more people with access to clean water. The cost for participating in this challenge has all been covered by myself personally. HSBC will also match the donation amount. Thank you for your support and donation!   

我將在2018年八月和其他99位HSBC的同事到格陵蘭島的北極圈內徒步旅行100公里。我們旅行的區域都是平常沒有人會到達的地方，我們將揹著所有旅行所需的器具以及食物走完全程，晚上則是紥地露營。這趟旅行的主要目的是為WaterAid(水援助組織)這個慈善機構募款。WaterAid是一個國際的非營利機構組織，通過和政府與當地社區團體的合作，提供安全清潔的水、衛生設施和設備給需要的人。目前全球有24億人無法獲得基本的衛生設施，六億多人無法獲得安全用水，平均八百個兒童每天死於和缺乏安全用水資源相關的疾病。所有我們透過這趟徒步旅行募得的款項都將直接捐給WaterAid來幫助讓更多人獲得安全清潔的用水。參與這項活動相關的費用都已由我個人支付了。我們募到多少錢，HSBC也會捐給WaterAid同等的捐款。謝謝你的支持和捐贈！
