Story
Thanks for visiting my page.
For 5 years now, I’ve been living with multiple sclerosis. MS is an unpredictable and incurable condition that affects people's nervous systems. It can attack suddenly or progress steadily, bringing a range of symptoms which can include sight loss, cognitive function, fatigue and mobility problems. No-one with MS can be sure when or how it will affect them next.
I’m a strong believer that it is important to keep moving - for the mind as well as the body. In 2019 I completed the London Landmarks Half Marathon (in a fairly respectable time of 2 hours and 7 minutes)… This year I’m doubling up, and will be running 26.2 miles in the 2022 London Marathon.
I’m honoured to support the MS Society again, and thank them for the opportunity as London Marathon places are not easy to get! The MS Society fund vital research into the causes of MS and possible treatments. They provide a helpline service, answering the calls of those looking for advice and support. They believe that together, we are strong enough to stop MS.
I will keep updating the page as best I can with how my training is going, moan about injuries, etc.
