<p>Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.</p> <p>As a Londoner, I often wondered what it would be like to compete in the London Marathon. Well, now I know! What an amazing experience! The crowds and other runners are all so encouraging - I count it a real privilege just to have taken part.</p> <p>Despite the hot weather and having a cold, I completed the race on behalf of Bristol-based charity, Harvest for the Hungry (harvestforthehungry.org.uk). Unfortunately, I hit "The Wall" at about 21 miles and knew I had to walk the remainder if I was going to finish.</p> <p>I was so encouraged by all your messages of love and support. They really did make a difference. Thank you very much if you have already made a donation, and if you haven't yet, don't worry, my JustGiving page is still active!</p> <p><span style="font-family: Arial;">Marco and his family still live in the house in the photos - 10 people living in a house with only one room, two single beds to sleep in, and no bathroom or running water.<br /><br /></span><span style="font-family: Arial;">Marco's family are shown in the photos. When Marco&rsquo;s eldest son (in the wheelchair) was diagnosed with cancer they had to start spending all their money on medical bills.
