Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As many of you will be aware, there has been an earthquake measuring 8.8 in Chile, 200 miles south of Santiago. As many of you will not be aware, I am due to run across the Atacama desert, just north of Santiago, in a weeks time (6th March 2010). The Atacama Desert is roughly 1000km north of Santiago and is generally described as the driest desert in the world... I have decided to raise funds for a charity that cares for children in need, and is active in disaster areas such as Haiti and Chile. The charity is called Save the Children. This is a cause that should appeal to all of us... For those of you wishing to keep track of my progress across what has been termed the “Driest Desert on Earth”, I will be updating my blog daily during the event at the end of each stage (assuming I complete the stages…!). Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thanks for your support...!
