Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On the 11th February 2010 I will be taking part in a gruelling 500 kilometre cycling challenge from Vietnam to Cambodia crossing the Mekong Delta in Vietnam, to the dry lands of Cambodia.

The Challenge requires me to cycle between 50-90 kms each day for 7 days in temperatures of up to 40c from My Tho - the gateway to the Mekong Delta in Vietnam to Siem Reap in Cambodia near the ancient City of Angkor. As a supporter of the Romanian Downs Syndrome Project I am asking you to sponsor this challenge to ensure that we can continue to transform the children's lives.

The children live in one of the poorest regions in Romania, in a society where those with a disability are not integrated into everyday life, and for many years the children had no life outside their home which was often one room. They were totally isolated, with no support, no education and had no facilities to help them.

For the past three years the charity has raised funds that have radically changed these children's lives. These kids with Downs Syndrome now have a daily routine, they have friends and the opportunity to learn through group activities and individual learning aids.

The charity also finances the upkeep and maintenance of the group's venues so that they are kept bright and cheerful and adapted to meet the children's needs.

All the money raised will go directly towards practical help such as teaching aids, training for the parents and resources such as craft materials.

The highlight of the year for these children has become their annual short-break holiday out in the countryside. The children have enormous fun going on a short coach trip or visiting a zoo - things that any other child would do regularly.

Please take a moment to sponsor me. Please dig deep, all amounts will be acknowledged. It's so easy, you can sponsor me now on-line by credit or debit card.  Donating through JustGiving, is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving, they never sell them on or send unwanted e-mails. Once you donate, they send your money direct to the charity making sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.

Please join me in supporting these disadvantaged children. I hope you will agree this is a fabulous cause to be associated with. Please be part of my challenge.

Many thanks for your support.

Raymond Little.
