WaterAid is an international not-for-profit, determined to make clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene normal for everyone, everywhere within a generation. Only by tackling these three essentials in ways that last can people change their lives for good.

Story

I am trekking across the Arctic in Greenland as part of a bank-wide charity trip - this is in aid of Wateraid.  This trip will include carrying all our own equipment (tent, clothes, etc) across the ice for 5 days!  I hope to also raise awareness of climate change and our impact on our environment.

Clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene should be a normal part of everyone’s daily life. But all over the world, communities are living without these essential human rights, leaving their lives at risk and their potential untapped. By donating this winter you are helping reach 250,000 people around the world with clean water. Every £1 donated to Untapped between 1 November 2017 and 31 January 2018 will be doubled by the UK Government, up to £5 million.Together we can change lives.
