Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Sadly, as many of you know, I lost my beautiful goddaughter Daisy to a terrible, incurable brain tumour called DIPG last year. Daisy went from being a normal child at school one day with no sign of illness to hospital the next and was having radiotherapy the following week. She died just seven months later the day after her 7th birthday. This was not before she had helped push the boundaries of brain cancer treatment during her own personal ordeals. In a world first operation, UK pioneer surgeons treated Daisy by using advanced robotics to implant very fine catheters deep into the brain near the tumour. You can read more about her story here: http://www.fordaisyanddipg.com
Daisy has already inspired fundraising efforts to accelerate the development of advanced drug delivery systems. The funds have been used to purchase new equipment in the research lab, fund new researchers and help raise money towards a clinical trial. On Sunday March 22 2015, myself and 5 amazing friends will be ‘Doing It For Daisy’ by completing the Melbourne fun run - Run For The Kids.
Please help me help children and families like Daisy's by giving whatever you can.
