Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As some are aware, this year my resolution was to indugle all of the silly whims that I never seem to get around to ... getting a tatoo, perming my hair and more significantly skydiving. So far (like most new years resolutions) I have failed to come up to proof on any of them. Fear not! On 21st August I am going skydiving courtesy of my good friend Rachel (who is either incredibly generous or not much of a friend).
Some consider skydiving a tad silly (I admit that when the phrase skydive is substituted for plummeting 15,000 from an aeroplane it doesn't sound so idyllic) and it struck me that some, through physical or mental impairment, aren't able to enjoy the prospect of living without limitation and fulfilling their desires no matter how silly they may be.
With that in mind I decided that I ought to in the course of my lunacy raise some money for charity. Walking with Giants, is in my view, an entirely worthwhile charity raising money and awareness for children with Primordial Dwarfism. Whilst an international charity, the UK branch is inpsired by Alex Connerty. Alex is a Liverpool boy so for those of you who, like me, have Liverpool as your home there is added significance.
If you needed any convincing about just how worthwhile the charity is, please visit www.walkingwithgiants.org or www.alex-connerty.co.uk or better still both!!!
By way of reward I will furnish all donees with the amusing (and no doubt attractive) video / photos of my jump!
