Story

Hello Everyone!

This is our family's attempt to help Marcus by giving back to PEACH.

Marcus was diagnosed with Autism on 4 March 2011. We suddenly got thrust into an unknown terrifying world and we immediately wanted to help Marcus.

Marcus was non-verbal and acted inappropriately prior to working with PEACH. Now, we have a son who is almost toilet trained and we can take out to restaurants and church. He can also speak and sign over 140 words. Marcus is now going to attend a mainstream school with additional help, thanks to PEACH, his case manager, Michelle, and our tutors: Cath, Lisa, Hayley, Christina, and Emma.

We started working with PEACH and are using Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA). He is also under the guidance of Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy. Since January 2011, we have seen Marcus grow day by day with the help and prayers of so many.

Please give to our cause. We are a family that does not ask for much, but I feel there is a higher purpose why Marcus was diagnosed with Autism! God is Blessing us and He continues to bless us through our familiy's roller coaster ride. Thank you for all your help and prayers.

1 April will be the day of the Reading Half-Marathon. I am going to run for Marcus and our family. It is fitting when I first discovered I was pregnant with Marcus, I was training for a similar race, and now I will run so he can have a better life. I will keep you updated on my progress and my training on this site.
