Story
Everyday men and women from the UK fight overseas in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and everyday some of them are injured or killed. These people give their lives for the service of our country to ensure that those who might wish us harm are unable to do so.
These soldiers are just ordinary people doing extraordinary things and some of them are living with the consequences of their service for life. We may not be able to prevent our soldiers from being wounded, but together we can help them get better.
On the 24th May 2010 I will be doing my bit to make life that bit easier for returning wounded soldiers. I will be cycling 350ish miles from Portsmouth, to France, along northern France to Dunkirk then finishing in London in 7 days with the charity Help For Heroes. A team from Headly Court (a rehabilitation centre for wounded servicemen and women) also ride, taking part on specially adapted bikes powered by arms rather than legs.
