Story

Fundraising Page for Daisy & DIPG Brain Cancer Research:

On the 3rd of May 2014 the Brooks family received devastating news, their beautiful 6 year old daughter Daisy was diagnosed with an incurable DIPG brain tumour.

Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) is a rare and aggressive brain stem cancer that has a very low survival rate. Brain Cancer research only receives 1% of national research funding.

Daisy travelled to Bristol in July for ground breaking brain surgery where the team have been studying brain cancer for 10 years. All donations go direct to this team who are making huge steps towards a cure for Daisy and other kids in her position. The results will also have an impact on other cancer treatments in the future due to the unique techniques they have developed. The work continues for the Bristol team who are treating Daisy to find a cure so the fund raising also continues.  All funds raised will go directly into the Brain Cancer Research fund in Bristol who are studying DIPG.

Every penny helps and you can rest assured that the money does not go towards paying for CEO salaries of some large charities, it goes direct to the research team for DIPG Brain Cancer Research.

Remember: Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never share them with anyone or send you unwanted emails.
