My story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
So can you believe it, me Rebecca Jones running a marathon? A year ago I wouldn't have thought it was possible but it's true! I've been lucky enough to get a place in the London Marathon in 2012! It's going to be quite a challenge but I'm up for it. I have a charity place which means I need to raise £1250 for my chosen charity and this is where I need your support.
I'm running on behalf of a small charity that runs community centres that support families in the area that I live, the London Docklands. As a small charity, every pound really makes a real difference to them.
The money I raise will go towards a project to stop youth reoffending and reduce anti-social behaviour, support a special needs education centre and put playworkers in school playgrounds and a range of other activities that support the local community.

Dockland Settlement

Dockland Settlements has three community centres in the former Dockland area of East London. Each centre provides a wide range of activities for all age groups in their residential and business communities. These include a breakfast and after-school club, ESOL classes, mother and toddler groups, activities for senior citizens, tap and jazz dancing, and a wide variety of sports classes.
