<p>Last October my mum was cruelly diagnosed with Mouth and neck cancer. At present she is gracefully recovering from 5 months of extreme treatment and operations. Her beautiful smile has never left her face throughout the whole ordeal. She is so strong and brave and to say how proud I am of her would be an understatement. She is an inspiration to everyone.</p> <p>Myself, some friends and family are participating in the 3 Yorkshire Peaks challenge on April 30th 2011. The aim is to complete the 25 mile circular walk, visiting the three highest peaks in Yorkshire, Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, in under 12 hours. If my mum can emerge from this course of treatment with a smile on her face, then I'm sure that we can endure 12 hours of pain over 3 Yorkshire peaks.&nbsp; We are hoping to raise money for The Daisy Appeal.</p> <p>The Daisy Appeal is a local charity established to help improve treatment and research opportunities in a variety of common diseases, most notably cancer and heart disease.
