On the 3rd of July, I will be walking the length of a Marathon from Greenwich to Richmond with over 200 Unilever colleagues in memory of our dear colleague Renee Metroka who unfortunately lost her battle with cancer last year. 

Despite receiving treatment for Ocular Cancer for over 4 years, Renee continued to work with a tremendously positive outlook on life and embodied a never give up attitude that was inspiring to us all.

Renee battled with a rare Ocular Cancer which unfortunately spread to her liver and sadly lost her battle in January 2018.

We are raising funds for a charity close to Renee’s heart helping to fund much needed research into Ocular cancer and how to treat it. Rare cancers like these are often overlooked and the charity remains largely underfunded.

Although walking a marathon may not seem like a huge challenge, the battle Renee went through certainly was. Thank you for any support you're able to give to help contribute to the research the University of Liverpool Ocular Oncology Research Group are able to do.
