Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!
I'm raising money for Coventry & Warwickshire Mind - the main voluntary organisation concerned with mental health in Coventry and the surrounding area. It is affiliated to National Mind and has a voice on health issues at regional and national levels.
I volunteer with Mind and can vouch that they are a great cause and any money donated will be worthwhile. I spend 2 hours a week at their Wellbeing Hub in Coventry which provides peer support every day of the week, to any one.
Peer Support is a great opportunity for those of us with lived experience of mental health problems to value our own and other’s experience, learning from each other through shared experience that respectfully offers appropriate support, working within safe boundaries, in order to promote improved mental health. My responsibilities include socialising with members, participating in activities and promoting self-help and independence.
Where will your money go?
• Every month 20 people in Coventry & Warwickshire take their own lives. More people will get the help they need - in time - thanks to your efforts.
• 12,500 children and young people across Coventry & Warwickshire experience mental health issues. With your help, local children and young people will develop their resilience and reduce the risk of having lifelong mental health conditions.
• The money you give could help us get information and support out to where people live across the city and county on our wellbeing bus.
Every penny you give will help make sure that local people with a mental health problem have somewhere to turn to.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
