My darling big brother Thomas has had a bit of a mad moment and decided that he wants to raise money for a charity extremely close to my heart by running around Goldsmith track 100 times on Christmas Day. Yes... Christmas Day. He's mad. I would also like to point out that one hundred laps equals roughly 26 miles. And he's growing a beard a la Forrest Gump for the occasion.

His exact words were: "If you can go through chemotherapy, I can run round the track one hundred times".

Personally, I'd rather do the chemo, but each to their own.

At the beginning of the year, many of you helped raise over £3,500 for the Red and White Appeal which is a charity that is extremely close to my heart, and now I'm going to pester you some more to help sponsor my brother to do this ridiculous run.

Some of you may be aware that I was treated for lymphoma for six months at the amazing Southampton General Hospital, and want to give back and raise as much money as possible for this worthy cause.

I recently go an email and the charity still needs to raise £280,000 by December. Every little contribution will really help, and as you can see I've raised my target to £5,000, which I really think is achievable. 

The Red and White Appeal aims to raise £2.2 million to create a treatment centre for patients with leukemia, lymphoma and other blood disorders from across Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Wiltshire, Dorset, West Sussex and the Channel Islands.

The state of the art unit will enable medical staff to vastly improve the quality of care for all patients receiving care for these life-threatening conditions.
