Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page - donating is simple, fast, and totally secure

On Saturday 3rd November at 3:30pm, we'll be abseiling down London's iconic Battersea Power Station to raise money for three charities that help provide practical and emotional support to survivors of brain injuries.

Ali and Shelley's Dad (and Zoë's Dad No.2), John, suffered a brain haemorrhage just over 12 months ago. After 9 months spent in hospital and a Neuro-Rehab Unit, Dad returned home, and Headway continue to provide all kinds of practical and emotional support to help him enjoy, and adapt to, life after a brain injury.

We want others to benefit from the support that Headway provides, so please click the donate button, or contact us for an offline donation - and don’t forget to gift aid if you are a UK taxpayer. (Donations will be chanelled through the Oxfordshire branch but will benefit Headway as a whole),

Many thanks,

Ali, Shelley & Zoe

(PS - If you want a reminder of Battersea Power Station's iconic status within London's landscape and culture, take a look at this clip of the building being used as the backdrop to Pink Floyd's album 'Animals'...  Rest assured, we're abseiling down the building - not the chimneys... ;)
