iMed Snowdon Challenge for SKT · 10 October 2015

SKT Welfare is a UK registered charity & international NGO established in 2008, dedicated to the delivery of humanitarian aid & socioeconomic solutions regardless of race, political affiliation, gender or belief. Our aim is to help relieve the suffering of the world’s poor communities

Story

For everyone who knows me, I am the least outdoors'y/active person so this will definitely be a challenge to say the least!

I kind of climbed Snowdon last year but this ended with me hobbling down the mountain for 3 hours (see above).....so I guess here goes take two!

I’m trekking to support the amazing work that SKT - WELFARE do. This includes running bakeries to supply food, working on supplying clean water and supporting education in Syria.

The particular cause for the trek is the Al-Huda Hospital project which serves roughly around 1 million people in Syria. The aim is to raise some money for them to continue running the hospital and supply life saving care to those who need it :) (See: https://sktwelfare.org/al-huda-hospital/)
