Brain Tumour UK has merged with The Brain Tumour Charity to become the UK's largest dedicated brain tumour charity. We fund research and offer support and information to those affected whilst raising awareness and influencing policy.

Story

<p>We (<span style="color: #ff0000;">Adam Staniforth, Pete Staniforth and Jake Standing</span>) are taking part in an exciting event called Relay GB.</p> <p><strong>Aim:</strong> Complete a relay of marathons around Great Britain in May 2012 to raise awareness for Brain Tumour research and as an attempt on the distance relay world record (<span style="color: #ff0000;">attempt acknowledged by Guinness World Records&trade;).</span></p> <p><strong>Brief Outline:</strong> Maximum of 6 runners for each marathon 'leg' (c 750 runners in total), starting in London and taking in a 3,100 mile circuit of Great Britain including key city centres. <span style="color: #ff0000;">Continuous relay </span>with a target of 4 hours per 'leg' leading to a finish in London 18 days later.</p> <p><strong>Our Leg:</strong> We are responsible for getting the baton from <span style="color: #ff0000;">Portsmouth to Lyndhurst (New Forest) on Saturday 5th May 2012</span>. Our leg starts at 5pm and we need to finish by 9pm to hand over to the next team.</p> <p><strong>Charity:</strong> The event charity is Brain Tumour UK. Brain Tumour UK is the leading, caring charity committed to fighting brain tumours by providing support, funding research and raising awareness. We are very proud to be raising sponsorship for Brain Tumour UK.</p> <p><strong>3 Marathons:</strong>&nbsp;Jake and Ash&nbsp;are also running the Brighton Marathon, Adam is taking part in the London Marathon a week later.
