<p>Tony McGuinness devoted the last 10 years of his life to the creation of a Hospice for the people of South Lanarkshire. A day care centre is already open and plans are being developed for a purpose-built hospice on a site which has been approved next to Hairmyres Hospital. Tony would be delighted that he is being remembered with more generous donations and would be the first to remind everyone that the running costs for a hospice are very high - we will need your support in the years ahead.</p>
