Story
On Friday 6th September 2013 our lives were turned upside down forever.
Our beloved and much longed for son, Samuel, was born an angel, fast asleep.
For 9 exciting months we talked non stop about how we would take him to the zoo to see the tigers, take him to the seaside to splash in the sea, how daddy would teach him football (well try) and how to ride a bike, so many plans and dreams....shattered.
Throughout our ordeal was a constant support, the midwives of St Mary's Hospital, Manchester. The love, support and care they gave not only us, but also Samuel, was invaluable. They were always there for a shoulder to cry on, always at the other end of the phone and most importantly looked after and cared for Samuel as if he was one of their own. We will never forget their kindness.
To repay their kindness we would like to raise much needed money for St Mary's to continue their valued support for bereaved parents.
When Samuel passed, we were allowed to stay with our son in the Rainbow Room. This room was equipped with a bed, cot, tea/coffee making facilities, microwave etc. Basically it was a room which allowed us to spend as much valuable time with our son as needed to make happy memories whilst also allowing us to grieve in private.
All donations received in Samuel's memory will be donated to St Mary's to allow them to continue to make the Rainbow Room available for other parents who find themselves in the same situation as us. A situation no parent should ever have to go through.
Thanks for your support, Keela and Stephen
In Loving Memory of Samuel Andrews
