Story
- Feb 2014.
- In the middle of the night, Ihad a fright.
- I could feel a lump! Back to earth with a bump.
- Was it a nightmare or was it true?
- The morning came slowly, because I knew.
- March 2014.
- Action stations!!! All hands on deck.
- Appointments made quickly-Oh heck!
- Diagnosis was given, bad news I'm afraid.
- Decisions and plans were hastily made.
- April 2014.
- Op was successful and lymph nodes were clear.
- Such wonderful news for all I hold dear.
- A problem with protein HER2 it is called.
- Treatment-intense, but HER2 is stonewalled.
- May 2014.
- Treatment affected me like using neat bleach.
- Just like that lager- that no other can reach.
- Perseverance and strength from my better half.
- Kept me going, even making me larf.
- June 2014.
- A few hiccups and set backs on the way.
- A programme of appointments day to day.
- The symptoms and cycles of my new life ensued.
- Help, care and treatment without fail continued.
- July 2014.
- Resembling 'Blofeld' from the James Bond movie.
- I looked at the reflection!!!! I was not groovy.
- Who was this stranger without a curl?
- Can't think who, but it's no Bond girl.
- Aug 2014.
- Radiotherapy was the next event.
- A continuous to and fro each day was spent.
- Minute tattoos to help the rays.
- As radiographers tried to avert their gaze.
- Sept 2014.
- My lovely new hair looks the part.
- Makes me feel great-a lift to my heart.
- I pop it on and give it a tweak.
- Off we go before you can speak.
- Oct 2014.
- Treatment has slowed but still ongoing.
- Feeling improvement, happy just knowing
- I will be back to work as Maitre de.
- Being a part of what has made me.
- Nov 2014.
- May 2015 is the month we look forward to.
- End of treatment and here's to YOU
- My family,friends/clients and loved ones also.
- Because without you it would not have been posso. (it rhymes!)
