My story
Polly's Dollies are doing Race For Life on Sat 3rd June '12 to raise funds for The Southside ILD Support Group .
Pauline passed away age 41 last Nov after battling with ILD ( Interstitial Lung Disease ) and Pulmenary Hypertension. She left behind a loving husband Chris and most wonderful daughter Kate Hope , now age 7.
Pauline was compassionate , shouldered her health problems with good grace , was great fun and was never embarrassed to show her love for her friends and family .
In response to her remarkable courage , her husband Chris and Consultant Dr Dave Anderson , set up The Southside ILD Support Group. The Group has been set up to provide knowledge of the condition , inform on further treatments and what to expect and to provide practical advice and assistance to those with ILD . Support is aimed at those having the condition , their families , friends , supporters and carers .
Pauline would want us to use our resources to support and assist others going through what she had to and you know she will be watching from on high with a tear of happiness in her eye that we are doing this great thing .
This is our time to do Polly proud !!

Funds are used for equipment, patients comforts and amenities,research and training together with the provision of extra facilities and opportunities not available from government funding.
