Rethink London to Paris Bike Ride · 5 May 2010

Leading the way to a better quality of life for everyone severely affected by mental illness.

Story

Three friends from South London have set about challenging ourselves to cycle from London to Paris.

Considering two of us have never really cycled that much and one of us cycles infrequently this presents itself as somewhat of a challenge! After undertaking our first training session of 3 miles to local pub we all realised that this is a very very very real challenge!

Three Hundred Miles in Four Days will require a bit more training than the odd cycle to the pub we all agree!

We will be maintaining another website with details of training progress, cycler profiles, insight into schizophrenia, amongst other things so please visit:

http://www.bikeride3.co.uk/

We have chosen Rethink as our charity to help those affected by severe mental health illnesses. Rethink is especially important to the team as Steve's brother David was affected by Schziophrenia for 18 years before sadly taking his own life in October 2008.

Rethink perform crucial work into the research of severe mental health issues which the team and the families behind the team feel is a critical factor in people having a better understanding and awareness of mental health Issues.

From Stuart, Mike and Steve we would like to thank you so much for any donation that you can make.
