I am the Vicar of St. Nicholas, in Laindon, a very beautiful, very old Church which sadly is in need of urgent repairs, especially to the bell tower.
At a recent meeting of the Church Council we were thinking up fundraising events and I found myself offering to do a sponsored walk around the Parish. I wasn’t allowed to have second thoughts and so on Saturday 18th September come rain or shine I will be walking around the boundary of the parish of Laindon with Dunton – I have been measuring the distance on a map and I think it is about 12 miles – so please help to make it worth my while by sponsoring me with as much as you can afford.
Now I’m off to find a comfortable pair of shoes and stock up on corn plasters just in case.
