In 2001 I had surgery to remove a cancerous tumour in my bladder. After this time, along with the NHS, I have worked hard to bring myself back to full health and for that I am very grateful. In 2015 I was ordained as a One Spirit Minister and I was given many beautiful gifts and wishes from loved ones.
As my birthday approaches on 31 December, I would like to start a fundraising project for 2016. My aim is to provide the money to build a toilet block in a school for one of the World Vision projects.
A TOILET BLOCK FOR A SCHOOL
Many rural schools don't have proper toilet facilities! This means children either have to go home to go to the bathroom or use the bushes, which simply isn't sanitary. Your gift of a toilet block for a school will provide a building, toilets and wash basins to create a toilet block for a school, keeping everyone clean and healthy.
I would like to start the fundraising by asking friends/loved ones who usually buy me a gift, to please make a donation to my page. Large or small - all donations welcome.
During 2016 I will come up with some other fundraising ideas in order to fulfil my aim and provide a toilet block for some needy children in a less affluent country.
