It is Etape du Dales time of year again but, far more importantly, this is the year when Chloe Burns is working really hard to raise money for St Leonard's Hospice - they run Hospice@Home, which gave huge support to Chloe's brother Will and their family, through Will's long illness. This year my efforts are therefore in support of St Leonard's and Hospice@Home.
For those who do not know the Etape du Dales, here is a link to the route: http://www.etapedudales.co.uk/etaperoutesimp.htm - though it fails to show that there is 3540m of climb to undertake, as well as the distance... This will be my fifth attempt and I suspect I will be nearer my slowest ever time (10 hours 22 minutes), rather than anywhere close to last year's PB of 9 hours 27 minutes.
I am sure you know the drill - please give whatever you can afford (and if you are thinking that I should have posted this earlier, you are right - but there again, I only got my bike back 10 days ago, after snapping the handle bars off while going up a hill!).
Many thanks,
Rex
