The Three Peaks Challenge · 19 August 2016

If you walk, climb, run or cycle amongst the beautiful hills of North East Wales, its highly likely that it will be NEWSAR that turns out to help you should you be lost or injured. Team members are highly trained and do it voluntarily, without question, no matter what the weather at no cost to you.

Story

I have long understood the benefits of spending time in the wilds and am lucky enough to live in a beautiful and wild area. I enjoy a variety of outdoor and extreme activities and think that this has helped me to meet fantastic and inspiring people. I am pleased to say that I have been fortunate so far, however, I am aware that it is likely that at some point I could need to call on the rescue services for myself or a friend. Search and rescue services like NEWSAR often have a small budget and rely on donations and the dedication of the brave and skilled people volunteering to offer us potentially live saving help. A friend needed the help of NEWSAR recently and they were there, going the extra mile. So, when he said that he wanted to raise money for them by completing the Three Peaks in 24hrs (including travel) I said "Hell Yes!", a new challenge with great people.

So peeps, please dig into your digital pockets and donate for this wonderful cause.
