In 2001 I received the devastating news that my eldest daughter had cancer, after going through treatment and surgery and going into remission, we were dealt a second blow, the cancer had come back. Nothing can prepare you or your loved one for what they have to go through. Thankfully, my daughter was one of the lucky ones and is here today to tell the story (and show the scars)

Every single day we are thankful for the help and support we received from the hospital and organisations such as Macmillan and this is the main reason I am doing this Trekathon.
