I have taken on the challenge of Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro (5,895m) next summer for chairty. I will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in aid of Mind - a charity that supports people with their mental well being. Every year, 1 in 4 people will experience a mental health problem; Mind are there to provide the support and care they need. I hope you will be kind enough to support me on my adventure as I trek to the roof of Africa to raise awareness and funds for such a worthy cause. By raising this money I hope to better many people's lives by giving them the services and people they need to better their mental well being and to eliminate the stigma around talking about mental health problems so that every child and adult feels comfortable that they can talk about it.
- In 2013, there were 8.2 million cases of anxiety in the UK
-Between 2003 and 2013, 18,220 people with mental health problems took their own life in the UK
What your money can do:
£3 could put our Find the Words guidebook in local GP surgeries, helping people to make the crucial first step of asking their doctor for support.
£8 could answer a call to our Infoline, providing someone with vital support and information about help in their area.
£21 could run our online peer support community Elefriends for an hour, helping people connect with others and feel less alone.
Thank you for all your support x
Rhiannon
