The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice, situated in Bellahouston Park, Glasgow, exists to help our patients achieve the best quality of life possible in whatever time remains for them. Where it may not be possible to add days to lives, we aim to add life to days for patients and their families.

Thanks to the team for their wonderful care of David.</span></span></strong></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #888888;"><strong><span style="font-family: Helvetica; color: #888888;"><span style="font-size: small;">In 2011 the hospice team unveiled plans to build a new 21st century state of the art hospice for the people of Glasgow, which we anticipate will open in 2016.The proposed site is on a piece of land adjacent to Bellahouston Park and we are grateful for the support of Glasgow City Council for helping us to realise our dream.Not only will this enable us to expand and improve our current services, it will allow us to provide much needed provision of care to young people age 15-25 with life limiting illness. We believe this development will be a huge step forward in the delivery of Palliative Care services to the people of Glasgow and will in particular address the needs of young people who are lost in transition between childrens and adult health services.</span></span></strong></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #ff0000;"><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 17px;"><strong><span style="font-family: Helvetica; color: red;"><span style="font-size: small;">A sizzling Samba !!!</span></span></strong></span></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #ff0000;"><strong><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 17px; background-color: #ffffff;"><span style="font-family: Helvetica; background: white; color: red;">I am being taught to dance a Samba by a professional dancer Kevin Nicoll. We are learning over a period of 14 weeks and practice 3 times a week at The David Lloyd Centre in Renfrew.We will perform the dance in front of 650 people &nbsp;which is quite a challenge for someone who has never danced before. Kevin is very patient, a dose of humour helps and I am loving this experience!!</span></span></span></strong></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: small;"><strong><span style="color: #ff00ff;"><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 17px; background-color: #ffffff;"><span style="font-family: Helvetica; background: white; color: fuchsia;">The Event&nbsp;~ A "Little Less" Strictly Come Dancing</span></span></span></strong></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><strong><span style="color: #ff00ff;"><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 17px; background-color: #ffffff;"><span style="font-family: Helvetica; background: white; color: fuchsia;"><span style="font-size: small;">This fabulous fundraising &nbsp;event is in its 3rd year and is staged at The Glasgow Hilton on 17th March. Guests will be treated to a fabulous evening of glittering dance and a demonstration by Strictly professional dancers Robin Windsor and Kristina Rihanoff.Six couples from the world of business and celebrities will compete with their partners to be crowned A Little Less Strictly Champions, 2012.&nbsp;&nbsp;<span style="color: #993366;">&nbsp;</span></span></span></span></span></strong><strong><span style="font-family: Helvetica; background: white; color: #993366;"><span style="font-size: small;">Oh The Pressure !!!!</span></span></strong></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: small;"><strong><span style="color: #0000ff;"><span style="font-family: Helvetica; color: blue;">Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
