Rigby Group IGO Challenge · 25 April 2019 to 27 April 2019 ·

Place2Be is a children's mental health charity that works to improve the emotional wellbeing of children and young people. We help them to cope with wide-ranging and often complex social issues including bullying, bereavement, domestic violence, family breakdown, neglect and trauma.

Story

Myself and a number of colleagues will be embarking on a challenge
this April, in support of a charity that provides incredible support to
Children with Mental Health issues and those that are living in very
challenging environments or circumstances.

Place 2 Be is a wonderful children’s mental health charity, that is supported by the Duchess of Cambridge. It supports 300 primary and secondary schools across the UK, together with training mental health counsellors. During 2018 they have supported 45,000 children dealing with many complex issues surrounding bullying, self-harm, poverty & deprivation, emotional and physical abuse and supported children living in complex home situations caring for parents or dealing with alcohol and drug abuse.

You can find out more about the charity here https://www.place2be.org.uk/what-we-do.aspx

As for the challenge itself, along with 40 colleagues I will be Mountain Biking 36KM and Hiking 30KM through challenging but spectacular terrain of the Lake District. For those that know me well, the prospect of a night in a tent in the great outdoors may well be the greater challenge!

You can help me raise money for this great cause by donating directly to their fundraising page - https://www.justgiving.com/Rich-Locke1

Just Giving sends your donation straight to Place2Be and automatically reclaims Gift Aid if you are a UK taxpayer, so your donation is worth even more.

We aim to raise £50K for this amazing cause and I thank you for your support in advance and your help toward us reaching our goal.
