Hi
Following the success of last years London to Paris bike ride raising £2960 for Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity in memory of my Mum (Angela) who sadly past away after a short fight with cancer I’ve been looking into finding an adventure, as mum would call it, to raise some more money for cancer research!
The Colomba Chemo Classic 14 November 2009
The ride is the brainchild of nineteen-year-old Robert Knibbs who was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, a form of cancer affecting the Lymph system, on the 15 October 2008. Now in remission Rob wanted to organise a fundraiser to try and help others who may be fighting similar illnesses and this is it! Enlisting the support of some of Great Britain's top young professionals, Ben Swift, Geraint Thomas and Alex Dowsett, he has selected a route that is demanding but not too ridiculous for the time of year, through some of his favourite cycling scenery of the Yorkshire Dales. The ride starts in Richmond and will be held over a challenging route of about 65 miles taking in a variety of rolling and hilly terrain.

Weston Park Cancer Appeal raises funds to support research, improve treatments and care for people with cancer and is one of only three dedicated cancer hospitals in the UK. To find out more click www.cancerappeal.org.uk
This time joining me will be the unbelievably supportive if a little crazy girlfriend Anna who currently bikes 3 miles to work every day and occasionally a few more miles with me but it will be a bit different riding 65 miles in November in Yorkshire! Rain… Sleet… Snow… Wind.. And Hills
So please dig deep and help us raise as much money as possible for this worthy cause!
Thank you
Richard and Anna
